Bob Satter
Robert A. Satter, President founded Granite State Phoenix Corporation in 1993. This Company has developed and marketed more than 3,000 acres of property in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, focusing on the Loon Mountain and Bretton Woods resorts. The Company also developed the 152-acre Forest community in Wells, Maine.
Mr. Satter is also president of Realty Capital Advisors, LLC, a Florida-
based mortgage banking firm and a principal of Compass Realty Advisors, Inc., a national real estate consulting firm (www.CompassAdvisors.com). From 1998-1999, Satter was the Chief Operating Officer of deGuardiola Development Ventures, Inc., a Florida-based development company building the $200 million "new town" of Abacoa in Jupiter, Florida.
From 1987-1991 Mr. Satter was chairman and chief executive of SATNEW, a New Hampshire joint venture with an affiliate of Dartmouth Bank of Littleton, New Hampshire that developed approximately 1,100 vacation homes in five northern New England communities.
Mr. Satter was the founder and chairman of The Satter Companies, Inc., a Florida-based group of affiliated business corporations and partnerships that engaged in a $500 million comprehensive real estate development program from 1972-1986. In 1986 he sold the company to Associated Mortgage Investors, a publicly owned real estate company.
Mr. Satter was designated twice by his peers as Palm Beach County's "Builder of the Year" and by the Palm Beach Post-Times Newspaper as "1984 Business Leader of the Year." The Southeast Council of the Real Estate Securities and Syndication Institute also honored Mr. Satter as “Syndicator of the Year”. Mr. Satter was founder and chairman of Sterling Savings Bank, director of First American Bank, trustee of Doctors Hospital, director of Economic Council of Palm Beach County, member of the Governor's Commission on New Hampshire in the 21st Century, and a trustee of the North Country Center for the Arts.
Mr. Satter obtained a B.S. in engineering from the U.S. Military Academy, a M.S. in operations research from the University of Massachusetts, and a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law. Mr. Satter is a licensed real estate broker, mortgage broker, general contractor and a member of the New Hampshire Bar.

Philip Kendrick
Philip Kendrick, Architect has been licensed since 1975 and has had his own practice since 1985. He is registered in the States of California, New Hampshire and Maine. He also holds a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certificate and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Philip Kendrick provides architectural services in a variety
of building types and design styles but has particular interest in historic preservation, restoration and reproduction. This is supported by over 20 years experience in that field and an extensive personal library of books, monographs and research materials on historic and classical architecture.
Additionally, this includes memberships in Portsmouth Advocates, Inc., Strawberry Banke Museum, The Warner House Association, New Hampshire Historical Association, The Old Berwick Historical Society, Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
His work has been recognized with a NHAIA Honor Award for Excellence in Architecture for the “Langley Boardman House” project and the Portsmouth Advocates Preservation Award for Design and Construction of the “3 Hancock Street” project. He has had selected architectural drawings published in two regional books A Noble and Dignified Stream, The Piscataqua Region in the Colonial Revival, 1860-1930 by Sarah Giffen and Kevin Murphy, and Building Portsmouth, The Neighborhood & Architecture of New Hampshire’s Oldest City, by Richard Candee.
Philip Kendrick was a member of the South Berwick, Maine Town Planning Board from 1996 to 2004 and was Chairman for three years. He also serves on numerous non-profit committees.
Philip Kendrick’s primary recreational interest is sailing and to feed that interest he has designed three boats (so far) for his own use, two have which have been acknowledged in boating publications.

Michael MacKinnon
Michael MacKinnon, Property Manager is the president
and owner of MacKinnon Property Management (formerly MacKinnon Landscaping est. 1972). In the late 1980’s he started managing a few private homes before taking over the business from his father Sandy MacKinnon in 1995. By playing an active role in all aspects of the business, he has been able to turn it into one of the largest full service property management companies in Southern Maine and New Hampshire. Michael is also a partner in the Shore Mac Corporation, a real-estate investment company.
Michael was born in Rhode Island but has been living in Southern Maine for most of his life. He grew up in the Kennebunk/Wells area and graduated from Wells High School later attending the University of Southern Maine. Michael enjoys spending time with his wife Julie and their three charming children. He also enjoys watching his children in sporting events, working around their house, going on cruises, playing soccer with his wife, golfing, skiing, boating, camping and just relaxing.

Joseph G. Carleton
Joseph G. Carleton, Jr., Attorney has been practicing law in Maine and New Hampshire since 1972, focusing on condominium law and real estate development. Joe has prepared operating documents for nearly a hundred projects. He represents
a number of condominium associations and is a member of a seminar leader for the Community Associations Institute. Joe has co-authored a number of publications for the Maine Bar Association relating to the development of Condominiums, Planned Communities and their related owner associations.
Joe has had significant involvement in local and state government. Locally, he served as the Wells Town Meeting
moderator for 25 years and served on the Wells-Ogunquit School Board, the Wells Site Review Board, the Wells Planning Board and many other Town committees. Joe currently serves on the Kittery Planning Board.
At the state level, Joe served four terms in the Maine House of Representatives. He was the assistant Republican Floor Leader in the 1994-1996 session. Joe was a member of the Banking and Insurance Committee and the Chairperson of the House Committee on Legislative Information Technology. He also was a commissioner on the Governor’s 2000 Blue Ribbon Committee on Health Care.
Joe has published numerous articles and reports, including “Something Old, Something New” (about cottage condominiums), “Basic Probate Procedures and Practices in Maine” and “Key Elements in Preventive Law-The Legal Audit”. Additionally, he is an occasional columnist in various condominium management magazines.
Active in civic activities, Joe is a Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellow and former president of the Wells Chamber of Commerce.

Kenneth A. Wood
Kenneth A. Wood, P.E. has served as the President of Attar Engineering, Inc. for over twenty years, since forming the civil, structural and marine engineering company in 1988. Today, Attar Engineering, Inc. employs about ten technical staff members and designs, permits and manages projects ranging to $50M in Maine, New Hampshire and
Massachusetts for municipal, residential and commercial clients.
Ken has held the position of District Engineer for the York County Soil and Water Conservation District since 1990; in this capacity he reviews most development projects in the County for erosion control/stormwater management and conducts municipal seminars on development, site and subdivision review. He authored the initial Stormwater Management for Maine manual for the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.
Ken holds professional engineering registrations in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts; he is a Certified Wetland Scientist and a Certified National Association of Underwater Instructors SCUBA Diver. He belongs to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), the Society of Wetland Scientists, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Small Woodlot Owners Association of Maine (SWOAM). Ken has been a member of the Eliot Conservation Commission for over twenty years, a past Director of the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce and a past Chairman of the Maritime Heritage Commission.
From 1978 – 1982 he was a Naval Architect at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, responsible for the design of primary and secondary hull structures. He was a Supervisory Mechanical Engineer and Branch Head at the shipyard until 1987, managing an organization of up to thirty-two engineers and technicians responsible for the design and construction of naval refueling facilities. He received his BS in civil engineering from the University of New Hampshire and has received certificates in program management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and wetland science from the University of New Hampshire’s continuing education division.

Ronald P. Murro
Ronald P. Murro, Developer has been the Chairman of the Board of Granite State Phoenix Corporation. since its formation in 1993. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hesser College and a Commissioner of the New Hampshire Post Secondary Education Commission. Since 1976 he has been the owner and chief executive officer of RPM Associates, Inc.,
an engineering/management consulting firm. He is a New Hampshire registered professional engineer and real estate broker. Mr. Murro is an active real estate investor and is currently developing an a variety of real esatate projects in northern New Hampshire.
From 1980 – 1990, Mr. Murro was co-owner and chief executive of Nashua Industrial Machine Corporation, an industrial machinery manufacturer with more than 100 employees. He served as a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell from 1968-1980. From 1966-1968 he was a senior staff scientist at AVCO Space Systems, and from 1961-1963 he was an engineer with Sikorsky Aircraft. Mr. Murro holds three U.S. patents. He is a past director of the Littleton Chamber of Commerce, a charter member of the Littleton Main Street Program, and a member of the Littleton Economic Development Task Force. Mr. Murro is the moderator for the Town of Lyman, New Hampshire. He received a B.S. in civil engineering from Cooper Union, and a M.S. and Ph.D. from Columbia University.

Steven P. McKenna
Steven P. McKenna, Contractor has owned and operated McKenna Bros. Construction, inc (a general contracting company) for the past 15 years. The company began as a partnership with his younger brother in 1993. Steve’s experience with his company has included custom cabinet making, framing, siding, roofing, subcontracting, and general contracting renovation and new construction projects in Southern Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire.
Steve attended Virginia Tech majoring in Mechanical Engineering directly from High school on a full Air Force ROTC scholarship. After moving home to New
Hampshire he worked full time as a carpenter and transferred to UNH part time in Fall of 1988. He took the winter off in 1990 and bought a one way ticket to Maui, HI.
Working in the Hawaii Carpenter’s Union as a Journeyman carpenter he gained form work experience on 8 story hotels and was promoted to a Foremen within 60 days. Scuba diving with Humpback Whales, Surfing, Wind surfing, backpacking into the crater of Haleakala, camping, and enjoying the weather and ocean made a winter off turn into 2 ½ years in ‘Paradise’ but Steve knew he would not stay and missed the 4 seasons of New England.
Steve shipped his motorcycle from Maui to Seattle in October 1992 and began a 9500 mile trek across the states. He rode through 20 States and Mexico over a four week period. The highlight of the trip was backpacking into the Grand canyon and camping on the Colorado river.
Steve spent the next 15 years establishing a General Contracting business and raising 5 children with his wife, Kerri. His two oldest children stepson, Brett age 23 and stepdaughter, Ashley Kay age 21 (attending RIT in Rochester NY). He lives in Shapleigh, Maine with his wife and three sons, Luke age 14, Gaven age 12, and Jared age 10. His two youngest boys were diagnosed with Autism before the age of two.
In July 2002 Steve took his family on a four week cross country vacation. His family of seven piled into an RV and headed West. This trip took them through 23 states and 3 Canadian Provinces. They visited 13 National Parks and logged over 10,000 miles. Over the years, Steve has taken his family on several other vacations including snowmobile and ATV trips in northern Maine and Canada. His passion over the last ten years has turned to snowmobiling, this has taken him on countless adventures from Maine throughout Quebec.
Steve’s ‘once in a lifetime’ trip was by snowmobile from Alaska to Maine in 2007. He and a friend shipped their machines to Tok, AK planning a 30-60 day trip back to Maine. Though the trip was riddled with mechanical problems and no trails, After 50 riding days and being gone for 80 days he arrived in Jackman Maine and had logged 10,800 miles for a new Guinness World Record.

Steven P. McKenna
Steven P. McKenna, Contractor has owned and operated McKenna Bros. Construction, inc (a general contracting company) for the past 15 years. The company began as a partnership with his younger brother in 1993. Steve’s experience with his company has included custom cabinet making, framing, siding, roofing, subcontracting, and general contracting renovation and new construction projects in Southern Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire.
Steve attended Virginia Tech majoring in Mechanical Engineering directly from High school on a full Air Force ROTC scholarship. After moving home to New
Hampshire he worked full time as a carpenter and transferred to UNH part time in Fall of 1988. He took the winter off in 1990 and bought a one way ticket to Maui, HI.
Working in the Hawaii Carpenter’s Union as a Journeyman carpenter he gained form work experience on 8 story hotels and was promoted to a Foremen within 60 days. Scuba diving with Humpback Whales, Surfing, Wind surfing, backpacking into the crater of Haleakala, camping, and enjoying the weather and ocean made a winter off turn into 2 ½ years in ‘Paradise’ but Steve knew he would not stay and missed the 4 seasons of New England.
Steve shipped his motorcycle from Maui to Seattle in October 1992 and began a 9500 mile trek across the states. He rode through 20 States and Mexico over a four week period. The highlight of the trip was backpacking into the Grand canyon and camping on the Colorado river.
Steve spent the next 15 years establishing a General Contracting business and raising 5 children with his wife, Kerri. His two oldest children stepson, Brett age 23 and stepdaughter, Ashley Kay age 21 (attending RIT in Rochester NY). He lives in Shapleigh, Maine with his wife and three sons, Luke age 14, Gaven age 12, and Jared age 10. His two youngest boys were diagnosed with Autism before the age of two.
In July 2002 Steve took his family on a four week cross country vacation. His family of seven piled into an RV and headed West. This trip took them through 23 states and 3 Canadian Provinces. They visited 13 National Parks and logged over 10,000 miles. Over the years, Steve has taken his family on several other vacations including snowmobile and ATV trips in northern Maine and Canada. His passion over the last ten years has turned to snowmobiling, this has taken him on countless adventures from Maine throughout Quebec.
Steve’s ‘once in a lifetime’ trip was by snowmobile from Alaska to Maine in 2007. He and a friend shipped their machines to Tok, AK planning a 30-60 day trip back to Maine. Though the trip was riddled with mechanical problems and no trails, After 50 riding days and being gone for 80 days he arrived in Jackman Maine and had logged 10,800 miles for a new Guinness World Record.
